I live in a town called Conroe, about 30 miles north of Houston. It keeps me away from the big city, and also from being too far away from the big city.

John,
I know where that is. I live in Groesbeck. It's 40 miles south east of Waco or 10 miles east of Mexia.

Hey JP,
You do know that we don't play real football in America don't you? No cricket or rugby either.
Re Joseph's comment ... I think you guys
will be in Dallas.. who is the other part of guys?
Welcome to America. Glad to have you. Now you will be able to attend my barbeque's. (You will have to come to KC to get some GOOD BBQ. Not like that Texas stuff)

OK, Texas has good BBQ also. No need for me to stir up some rivalry between the states. We already did that 130 some years ago.
By the way. Do you forsee any downtime for the Forums? Are you currently hosting them in the UK? How long do you expect the move to take?

Jim,
The Webmaster Forums are hosted by communitech.net which is a US company... I doubt the forums will experience any downtime although we might miss JP for a couple of days.

Hi all, just thought I would make a little announcement to those of you who don't know yet. I will shortly be moving from the UK to Texas in America to work with Joseph the creator of this board.
I'll be leaving London sometime near the end of July...and I'm already getting nervous!
Have a nice day everyone.

I have seen where Groesbeck is, I don't think I've been there before. It isn't terribly far away from me, but still a bit of a hike.
I'll have to stop by sometime when I'm going in that direction.

So your coming to America.....That's Awesome!
Hope ya like hot weather. I think it is humid down in Texas also. If ya don't like it you could always come over and live on the pacific coast.
HERE IS A HELPFUL TIP: Learn how to ride on a horse. It might come in handy down in cowboy country.

woah there!
That is some response guys, I was expecting more of a 'oh god not another Brit!' instead it looks like I will spend most of my time at BBQ's (noting wrong with that though)
John,
I have been in a big city (London) all my life and have never felt comfortable in the country - I always get bored!
Curtis,
Do you also live in Texas?
Jim,
I realise there is not much 'soccer' in the US but I have been told that there is still some in Dallas - so I can still play.
**NOTE** Does anybody know if the pitches in Dallas are AstroTurf (synthetic) or Grass?**NOTE**
Can't wait for the BBQ's, I can already taste the sausages and steak!
Their will be no down time, as Curtis has pointed out, just a lack of me for a few days (you'll live! )
Kyle,
euhh, thanks for the horse tip - will keep it in mind - but I think I will stick to cars.
Thanks again all of you - I can't wait till I arrive in a few months...

Thanks Patrick, I will miss watching my local team, but I have been told Dallas has a soccer team - and I'm sure I could get into Baseball...
What was that about fake ID's Jo?

JP: Almost every underage person I know has a fake id. I'm 23, but a few of my gf's friends use them.
My gf also has season tickets to the texas rangers (baseball) and the dallas cowboys (football), which I'm sure I can we can use. You'll have a great time. Also, email me to remind me to send you the imigration stuff.

Thanks Dan - though I think you can scrap the Garth Brooks plan!
it's typical that I have to wait 18 years to to be considered an adult - enjoy two years of this - and now I'll have to regress to fake ID's
The Texas Rangers eh! Weird coincidence that the football/soccer team I support are called Queens Park Rangers.
Cheers,
JP
