Freedom Of Speech - Can we not say anything?

Hi,

I was reading a thread about deleting posts from a hosting forum because of possible legal action from the hosting company.

Thats why I was wondering how far our freedom of speech goes in this forum. Would it be illegal for me to say that CI host sux, mainly because I dont like their homepage design?

Even JP said he might consider deleting a post if there would be a thread of legal action. Well, I dont think its clear if there would be a lawsuit against JP which country would have jurisdiction.

Maybe a solution would be to not delete posts but mark them "members only," and then have the members sign an agreement that they wont sue for the content of posts.

Just a couple thoughts, Im obviously not a lawyer.

Bye,

Malte

Good question Malte,
It would take a lot of pressure to get me to remove a thread I considered valuable.
But on the other hand I would readily delete a thread which offended others and had to constructive value.
I hope that helps clear things up Smiling
