Current Changes Made
So far, the following changes have been made:
- I have moved the forums to the root web directory. They are no longer found in the /forums directory (which you probably noticed). This was done simply because I think it is cleaner and easier.
- Administrative permissions have been changed
- The vB software was upgraded to the latest v1.1.4 which increases speed and mySQL performance among a number of improvements
- The IP address link problem has been corrected although I need to go through the templates to make sure IP address references no longer exist
- The code tags ([ code ] and [ /code ] without the spaces) have been updated a bit to what I hope should be a bit easier to understand.

<body>
An example of what the code tag will do with normal code.
</body>
</html>
- And I have made a number of design changes. I am still working hard on the design so please be patient. I am only about 1/3 done with all the changes that need to be made across the site in terms of design changes so that everything is the same.

I just wanted to tell you guys that it is great to see that you are now trying to solve some of these problems. I think you have a great start!

Yeah, so far it looks like things are getting done around here It'll be nice when all the pages have the same design though. Keep up the good work Chad!

Good to see things get done as Justin said, just wish you could see the left navbar on my computer for the past months. It is terrible looking. I have it set to big fonts because I browse at 1024*768 or whatever that is. Everything is all out of the boxes and stuff. I liked it more totally image based.

Like Parker said, the left text-based menu system is good looking, as long as you have your browser set perfectly. I am debating removing that menu altogether and putting a horizontal menu made of images.
Or possibly still a vertical one made of images...
Which do you guys and gals think would look better?

I like it on the left, but if I could see what it would look like being on the top that could change my vote.

I use the last/next thread all the time to move through all the threads I haven't read in any given forum. Having to move back to the listing each time is a very large PITA and I find it less usable this way.
I don't care much WHERE the links are, but I really do miss them.

They haven't been gone that long! Give me a chance here. I have to clean up the huge mess that was here before (you should see the template mess I have to deal with). I'm trying to get things standardized and get some new things done.
Just give me a bit. Things will probably be a little awkward today, but I should have the majority of things back by this evening.

lol, okay, Chad! Let it be known I need those links, baby! *grin* The forums do look better without the left column, btw.
I can be patient if it's short term (ha ha). And thanks for the quickee feedback.

The menu bar worked fine, but I wouldn't mind it not being there, as long as all of the links are back at the top horizontally. I like the basic vBulletin design, might want to go back to that and get rid of the logo at the top that stretches across the entire screen. The new post buttons are alright, but they could be much better, even though they are better than the text links there before. Keep up the good work!

I am working hard to get everything at least functional again, with a design that fits the needs of everyone... But, if anyone wants to take on a new design or throw out some ideas, please, do so.
I think if we have some alternative designs to look at, those of you that like the current design may change your mind... I am just here to put it together with what everyone likes.
Basically, I'm just saying that if you have extra time and you want to throw together a really cool design that you would like to let TWF use (with due credit), please do so and we'll post it here for everyone to vote on...
But for now, I am going to get something half decent and fully functional online in the next couple days. Than I am focusing on the "dead weight" issue.
I appreciate the patience and support that you guys/gals have given me. I have only had TWF for 15 days but I hope you feel that the changes are for or are at least moving towards better. Looking over the forums, it already looks to me like things are picking up in terms of a posts a bit...

Argh! See, that's another problem. I live the life of the average teenager, which means that once vacation comes.. I'm gone. The clock is ticking!

Well, not to say I'm going to sit in front of this computer my whole vacation - I'm actually going somewhere, too. Going to NYC for a while to see the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade.

Hey Chad,
When we going to get our navigation back. I had to search through 45 days of post to find the one I wanted, MANUALLY.
Also would like to see the unread post link back, and next page at the end of the page.

Yeah, I know. This is getting a little annoying. I'm gonna see what Chad's up to right now. I'll work on getting everything setup (somehow) in a few days. Again, sorry for the delay...

The boards are really messed up.
It's been like this for months now, it's time to do something.
The vBulletin is totally useless because you took out the HTML in the templates to access them.
I say import the standard templates and start from there.
