Banner Rotation
As many of you have probably noticed by now, there is a banner system at the top of the page that is advertising several different sites.
Many of you have inquired (via the forums and e-mail) as to what exactly gets you qualified to have a banner up there and if it costs anything... Until now, I have asked you to wait until today so that I only had to explain it once.
To be put into the banner system, you have a be an active member of TWF. It doesn't cost you a penny! The only requirements are:
- 468x60 banner
- 25k or less (animated is fine)
- 12+ quality posts per month. This is 3 posts per week (but they will be counted monthly, not weekly). Gaining the quality is just as easy as making the post by most standards. Quality will be determined by the moderators of each forum. Moderators will be monitoring all posts to make sure they meet the quality standards and if they don't, they will let me know and I will in turn contact you regarding it. As long as you post real questions/answers, it should qualify. Also, a script will be ran once a month on the last day of the month to make sure you have your twelve posts for the month... If you do, your banner will be left in the rotation for the next month and if it isn't, it will be removed from the rotation.
- A return link from your web site. This can be a graphic or a simple text link.
Finally, if you agree to all of the above, send [email protected]?subject=Banner an e-mail with the following:
- Your banner attachment (.gif of course)
- The url that you want the banner to redirect to
- The url where the TWF referral link appears
- The text that you want to appear under your banner
- TWF username
- A password for your stats page
- An e-mail address.
You will be given access to an online monitoring system once your banner is added to the rotation to view banner views and clicks, etc.
I am now accepting banners from all qualified members, though new banners will not be added to the rotation for 1-2 more weeks as I am currently working on putting a new banner system online as the current system is not meeting my expectations. I also need to do some work on the polling system prior to changing the banner system.
You can send me your banner at anytime. Qualifications will be taken from the month of January, regardless of when I receive or add your banner to the rotation.

It's going to be toward the end of February or early March. I have to find a different banner rotation script because the previous one didn't work well. And I have to implement it in the forum code which takes a bit of time.
