Back to the old display - ...but which one is the best?
I have gone back to the old category and forums display (which I DO NOT like as much as the category only option.
- This is because I expect is confuses new members/visitors and encourages incorrect forums posting.
- It takes longer to download.
- It does not look as good.
I would like to go back to the category only design - but this is YOUR forum as well, and I will gladly welcome all opinions (if anyone cares... )
Cheers,
JP

I prefer this new display as it makes it easier to see which actual forums have been updated.

JP,
I kind of like hte way it is now. Removes one step in finding out if I want to go to the forum. For instance I rarely go to the cgi/perl forum but go to hte html/javascript forum constantly. One less step to see which forum has new post

I liked the old design in a couple of ways (quick loading, clean), but this one is more usable for everyone.
This design makes it easier for people (especially new posters) to navigate the forums.
It's also easier to see which forum has new posts, rather than just which group of forums have new posts.
..and yes, it saves a mouse click and makes my clicking finger happy.

Man, I am gone from the computer (mark it down, it is history ) for two days and I don't even get to add my opinions ... I like the new way! Much easier to go directly to where I want to go as I don't visit all of the forums... Glad you switched and even more glad that it will stay this way!
