Archives Forum
seems that some people are posting replies to old threads. I think an Archive forum would be a good addition. thanks.

What purpose would an archive forum serve?
Everything can be access by changing the "From the" option in the Display Options at the bottom of every forum display page.

If there is no answer on Google, then there is no question.

I think what s0da meant was to move the old topics to an archive forum so some newcomers don't come along and reply to a 2 year old thread, bringing it back to life. I'd prefer an 'auto-lock' hack or something similar.

The problem is that "Similar Threads" box at the bottom. That'll bring up anything. The one I'm looking at right now has one dated 1999. I would suggest that we just turn that off if possible.

in my forums i check the thread age; if the thread is older than certain number of days... no posting is allowed; "thread is too old to post replies".
