There seem to be an unusual number of Opera users here.
They have encouraged me to try it out again, using v 9.51 right now, but it will not replace my Firefox 2.0.0.15 (I don't want to upgrade to v 3 beta because I rely on many addons)
But as the PM/Designer for RateMyButt (and RateMyChest, RateMyBooty, HowDrunk, and the soon to be launched BestButtInAmerica) replied when I asked about Opera compatibility, "If someone is using Opera on these wites, what are they trying to prove?" (ok, I still check)
Also, more on topic, I am doing some mods on some template sites a different client purchased for $60 each (oh, you get what you pay for ) and some displayed ok in Firefox but not in IE - the menubar was missing - he is getting the vendor to fix it, I don't have to figger it out.
Oh, and one more thing:
Safari is no longer exclusively on Apple/Mac - I have Safari for Windows that preserves most of the annoying problems it has on Mac... so it's useful for checking, anyway.

Some great comments. The only reason i made this poll is because i used to use IE and went to Firefox and had a much better experience and wanted to see what other peoples opinions we're.
I find as a person who does abit of coding sites that IE always has problems and annoys the crap out of me where as Firefox seems to do a much better job.
Anyway thanks for your votes.

If everyone switched to Firefox, then Mozilla will control the web. It'll become nothing but another Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have a good idea of how most people here feels about that.
The best part of the web is choice. I don't particularly like Opera, so I don't use it much. I've never tried IE7, so I can't comment on it.

Everyone should not switch to anything IMO. I think that the success of the web depends on healthy competition in the browser market. Things really started to get better when Firefox started to take over some of IE"s market share. We need to improve that variety.
In that context, I would say that more people should switch to Opera or Safari. Safari I think is better for people who want a simple experience. Opera for more technically confident
I also think that the right browser for an individual entirely depends on their own preferences. I happen to prefer Opera. It works best for me, but someone else may prefer Firefox or Safari or Konquerer or iCab or Camino or even IE! I think if I were to say anything here it would be that everyone should try different browsers and use the one they like the best.

Netscape is no longer supported...so I don't think switching to that is the best idea.
I vote Firefox. Opera is the second choice.
