Joomla is a CMS portal (content management system) used to make sites out of the box. It's the current reiteration of the old Mambo engine... You can read more about it at http://www.joomla.org/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joomla

This looks a little like astro-turfing to me RealMetrics, are you a Joomla! fanboy or something? Smiling

Drupal is far better in my opinion. Standards compliant, very well written, less security problems.

Tried Mambo, then Joomla, then the less popular FlatFile Mambo/Joomla named Limbo... its at limboportal.com... It's pretty cool, and easy to work with, but then came Drupal, which is about several points ahead, but I still like them all...

Hi jeeves,

The coder X has just asked about “what is joomla”. Here is what I think of joomla.

I have also used drupal, mambo, joomla, etc., Every CMS have their own pluses and minuses.

Thanks!!!
