URGENT:Launching MS Word

Hi,

Please Help!
My problem is:
There is one X.doc file on the server. The client browser will launch the MS word and open that specific X.doc file when a link is clicked. Any modification to the X.doc file will be saved back to the server.

I've learnt that Javascript is unable to do this, "they" told me that this is possible using CGI, can anyone help!

OK, here's the deal. If oyu want the clinet to be able to save the document on the server after you edited it then they need to upload it to your server by ftp, or some means like that.

But i'm not even sure what your asking so if thats not it then..
