URGENT ADVICE NEEDED
I have an issue with my host whereby they are pressing criminal charges against me for hacking. I used a simple script ASPBrowseDir.asp which I downloaded and it let me view the entire server and all the files on it. Including other sites. We told are host and they said it was impossible. We told them again. Finally we went in to them with proof that their server is unsecure, because the same script does not have that effect on any other server. Now they have taken my site down, which I pay for!!!
They are also now mentioning something about PERL scripts. I am worried that they are stitching me up and wondered if there is any file which Windows/NT keeps as a record as to what commands have been run by them in maybe planting the scripts themselves. Also is it possible to run PERL from NT. Our CGI-BIN never worked properly as far as we knew, but we never used it anyway. Anyone with any knowledge as to how I might go about this wold be helping out immensely.
Herman.

Well unless you can prove you had a good reason to be using that script, then I doubt you can't blame them. It's sorta like houses. You see the outsides of people homes (IE: your account), but only the owners usually see the inside (IE: the sys. admins.)...
