UltraDev and Coldfusion

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to find documentation on how to connect Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 to a Coldfusion Server. To my understanding, you can test you appz locally using the F12. This should use the remote server access the local database and give you the results.

I know this sound a little confusing. Is anyone here using UltraDev 4 to develop basic Coldfusion appz?

And does anyone know of a site, where they show how to connect Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 to a remote Coldfusion server.

Hmmm I am a bit confused. And I admit no knowledge of Ultradev.

But I think if you're developing for Cold Fusion you need to write in Cold Fusion and the files/scripts must have the ".cmf" file extension, otherwise the server does not send them to CF to process.

So the question is, what language is Ultradev using? If you're creating ASP pages then I don't think CF comes into the picture.

CF is NOT a database server like SQL server. You may be able to connect to a database directly with the pages you create.

I hope this helps,
Christian
