I recently was in charge of moving an ASP site from the current, terrible host
ASP is a real pain for me because I'm not really proficient with it
Along came asp2php, the Linux command line program that converts ASP to PHP (Obviously)
Of course, it wasn't perfect, but I was able to clean it up, and I have a duplicate site running in PHP
So if you are looking to move from Windows to *nix, check out ASP2PHP

Yep, it's a great program. We used it when our "webgroup" and the sysop at school were building the intranet site for the school. I wasn't well-versed with PHP so had to code it in ASP at the time. Ironically, it all worked fine except for a couple of exceptions (which were my fault, really - but I didn't bother fixing them), whose failure to convert caused me to take a look at PHP in the first place.
