Hi!

What do you guys think of this mailing script: http://cgi.elitehost.com/subscribe/ It's for mailing newsletters and it's free. Do you know of a better script? Wink

There are some features I want that it doesn't have.

Thanks for your time.

Subscribe me is an good mail script. However, I use one from www.solutionscript.com because it's so simple, probably doesn't have features your looking for though.

I use a heavily modified version of Mailing List (http://www.cgi-factory.com/maillist/). I am thinking of moving over to using Subscribe Me because the browser timeout is bypassed.

Curtis, what sort of features are you looking for in a script?

I've used most all of the mailing list programs and the one I find is the best with most every feature incorporated is Mail Machine - http://www.mikesworld.net/mailmachine.shtml - it handles my list of 11,000 without any problems.

I need help someone please..

Im looking for a form or cgi subscription script that will

1. email the administrator to
inform them of subscription details (email address)

2. email the subscriber thanking them

3. take the subscriber to a error page that is external (like be able to specify a redirect url from the script to open if the entry is invalid)

4. same as 3 but a redirect url if subscription is successful...

someone please help cause i dont like using the cgi scripts that use

Print "........" to create response pages... i want to be able to design my own pages and use them as the error or thank you pages...

OOOH and lastly it has to be able to check to see if the entry is a valid email......

HEEELLLPPPP a webmaster in need of inspiration... (LOOKED ALL OVER cgi-resources and other cgi sites.. all use print....... anyone???????

Hi gearboy,

for topics 3 and 4.

Take your favourite script and search for the place where the page is printed.

Change it from print "Content-Type [...]
or
print <<XXX;
Content-Type: [...]

to:
print "Location: [Wherever you like]\n\n";

That's it.

If I had time I would do it for you, but ...

ciao

I am trying to troubleshoot my email server to get it to actually send mass emails out. Sending one or two emails works fine, however when you try say 25-50, it appears to have worked fine, yet nobody actually recieves any of the emails. At first I thought this was a spam blocker issue, but there is none in effect. I am using iManager's virtual server for the email portion of the site.
1) Is this a simple coding error somewhere?
2) Would it be possible to integrate the Mail Machine script available at Mikes World into iManager?
3) Does anyone have any other ideas? Confused
I thank anybody in advance for attempting to help me resolve this issue.

did you check with your provider to see if they have anything in place to block the mail?
