Specifically needed password script

I went to cgi-resources.com, but I wasn't sure which one provided what I wanted. I want a site, that people log into. It then takes them to another page that displays only what they are allowed to see. For example, someone would signup, and then, I would figure out what they could and couldn't see, out of so many other pages. Then, when they logged in, they would only be allowed to see and go to what I have permitted them to. I hope you understand because I M confusing my self . I know no cgi, so I can't really do anything myself. It would be hosted on Tripod, which does support cgi.
