Sendmail problems
Hi everyone,
I am having a very strange problem with sendmail. When my script tries to send an email, everything goes fine, I don't receive any errors, but the recipients doesn't receive the email either.
I have checked the sendmail's mail que and all of the message are there, with the following statuses "Warning: could not send message for past 4 hours" or " Warning: could not send message for past 1 day" .
In other words, the messages reach sendmail, but sendmail is having problems sending them out. The problem must be with sendmail since I have this script on another site and it works perfectly. Anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Hi! Sendmail setup failure is a very rare problem. If you are hosting your site on other webhost and not your own server, then sendmail shouldn't be a problem. Hey, there would be hundreds of host sharing the server with you and they can't afford a sendmail failure.
Here's a simple to test to see whether sendmail is working properly. Send an e-mail using your host SMTP server to yourself. If you receive the message, sendmail is working fine.
"Warning: could not send message for past 4 hours" or " Warning: could not send message for past 1 day" usually means that the recepient e-mail is bad or unreachable. But I can't say definitely this is the problem. You can try my suggestion above and tell us how you fare.
