Hello all -

This is probably in the wrong spot but oh well!

Okay - if I want to sell a product online and get the credit card info I know that the site will need to be secure. I also know that I will need a shopping cart software.

What do I need to do for all of this? What software is best? Let's say that as time goes by I will be adding multiple products - so I will want the software to grow with me...any ideas?

Brooke

It depends on how much you want to spend and how customisable you need it really. Miva is quite a powerful tool but costs quite a lot and you need to find a host that will run it. You could get a customised script or use something like Mals Ecommerce

You could use a 3rd party creditcard processor such as http://www.2checkout.com/ http://www.revecom.com/ http://www.paypal.com/ and use their shopping cart as well as their services for charging the customers. This would probably be the easiest since you're starting out.

I recently built 2 shopping carts for people using Linkpoint, both Linkpoint API (on your server) and Linkpoint Central -- POS is at Linkpoint
They were both secure
linkpoint.com
If you need help setting it up or want more info, send a PM or an email

Laughing out loud

Has linkpoint gotten around to making itself work with N7, et cetera yet?

Suzanne, are you asking about Linkpoint Central or the Linkpoint API?
