Search engine cgi - Help with modifying

I recently purchased a search engine script, with little or no support from the company. I would like to include the SSI call into the script so I can use a banner rotation program on the pages that are created by the searches. The question is, what file do I put the code into. There are a bunch of files, and I know it needs to be in the one that produces the pages, but I am not sure which it is. How can I figure it out? I am using indexfinger in case anyone knows of it.

The search engine that I am refering to is at http://www.indexfinger.com/indexfinger/
I need a way to use a banner rotation cgi within the search produced pages. I have tried four different banner script that don't use ssi but none of them work. So I figured I should just figure out how to modify the search script to include SSI. Then I could use a banner rotation script that uses SSI. I am hoping that this would be the best way to go. Any thoughts?

Thanks
