profiles script?

Does anyone know of a script to manage profiles? So that a person can create one and only that person can modify it, and also so that they can upload an image for the profile? I've looked through cgi-resources.com but haven't found anything that is similar enough. I've seen a news manager script is possibly close enough that I could modify it, but what about the image? Thanks.
