PHP/img src links

I'm looking for a PHP script that will create a javascript pop-up from a variable sent from Flash, containing a directory path to an image.

//within PHP--something along these lines...
img src = $currentPhoto; // $currentPhoto will contain directory path, now pop-up with javascript...

So one PHP script, multiple image variables passed to it. If someone has a formatted PHP/javascript example, I'd appreciate it.
