phpbb forum help?

I have just installed a free phpbb forum onto my domain (iam very new to all this stuff) i want to load my logo onto it. How do i do this? Can i view the files using cpanel or will i need a ftp programme?
Plaese help im going around in circles.

Sure you can find all the info you need here.

If I remember correctly you need to go into your /forums/images/ folder and replace "logo_phpBB.png"

Something like that anyway

The image you want to replace is logo_phpbb.gif, not png as Tim stated above. Although you will also have to edit the html in your template file called overall_header.tpl.

And of course you will have to use ftp!
