PHP for a business listing.
Okay i am a beginner in PHP and i just need to know if PHP can do what i need.
Okay the story goes like this. I need to convert (or make from scratch) a web-page of business listings, you know the kind where businesses pay to be listed for a small fee under certain categories, etc, which was originally done in MS Access and ASP into something that can work in my server which is linux.
Can this be done as well in PHP and MySQL?
Is really just 80 businesses is not really a big site. The only thing is that it needs the capability of have 6 images for each entry of the listing.
I am almost sure it can be done. Also is there any tutorial, website that covers this area?
Thanks in advance for reading and helping.

Yeah, PHP can do that for you. You may want to look at some content management systems over at Hotscripts.com or Opensourcecms.com.

If you are looking for a highly customizable one, check out wsnlinks.com. Its default purpose is a link directory, but it can be modded enough to fit your needs. I think it runs around $60. The dev is for hire, he charges a fair amount. I just had him create a mod for one of my wsnlink sites.

Thank you very much for that link. I might buy a bulk one. It seems the perfect fit. Thanks again.
