Open Source Bulletin Board

Okay, I know that it has been tried before (BoardZilla), but I'm planning to try again. I'm starting a Open Source Bulletin Board. Well, actually it is already a working board with some features, but now I want to make it open source.

"Why will this one succeed?" You'd ask, well I guess BoardZilla never came any further than some core scripts, since there was nothing to see about it, nobody really was feeling like programming on it. Understandable I think. Though, this one already works, you can see it, and it's not really hard-to-understand code, so not hard to 'hack'.

If you're interested, and I hope you are. You can read by post concerning it on the YaBB (Yet another Bulletin Board) website: http://www.yabb.com.ru

Thanks,
Zef Hemel

What's there to reply about? What do you want people to say? You havn't even made it Open Source yet. Anyway, BoardZilla isn't completely dead yet. I'm still working on the core and a new design for the site. Stay tuned...

Justin - Glad to hear that BoardZilla's not dead. =)

I look forward to the new site, and the successful releases that will no doubt follow.

Okay Justin, you've got a point there. Anyway, it is open source right now. I have to change the site a bit.

I really like this idea of a good open source bb. One thing I think that is necessary is it to be based on templates, it helps a lot at least. If it was I could help make templates for it.
