Newsletter/Mailing List Help

Hello,

I could of sworn I had an account here, but apparently not so I made a new one. Anyway, hopefully someone here can help me fix a certain issue, or suggestion something better.

I'm currently trying to setup my own newsletter type thing. [http://www.twistedportal.com/newsletter/admin/login.php] - This script has a bunch of errors and I do believe I installed it correct. It doesn't send mail, it says it is but it just doesn't go through. You can't delete any of the e-mail addresses subscribed, and there's just a bunch of other problems with it.

I guess the point of this post is not to find help on how to fix the problems, but to ask if anyone is currently using a good mailing list script. I need it to be able to let me easily paste code into my site so users can subscribe, add/remove subscribers, etc. The basics.

Any help would be appreciated. Please don't tell me to hit the script sites, as I have tried a lot of them but not all of them. If I posted this in the wrong suggestion, forgive me.

Sorry I can't recommend one to you, as we custom write our own newsletter scripts.

I did want to write and let you know you should ajust your settings to block directory listings, as you can browse the directories, and in one of them, there is a CSV file with e-mail addresses in it. Whatever you use, you want to make sure people can't view those.
