Need help with CGI scripts!! - I have no idea how to use them!! (Posted by Bosslady)
I'm a [very] new webmaster and I don't have the slightest clue on how to use cgi scripts on my site. I used frontpage 2000 to create it. I only learned a few tags befoe I bought the software. My new host has installed the scripts already on my site but I don't know how to use them? And what about scripts I download or copy from those sites offering them for free? What do I do with them? This may sound like a dumb question, but it's really irking the heck out of me!!! Please help.
Thanks

I would advise reading the tutorial on cgi101.com as it will give you a good understanding of cgi and perl.

I would suggest getting the Oreilly press's Learning Perl and the Perl Black Book by Holzner
I would also suggest downloading a cgi from the Web and examaning it.
