Need a cold fusion Guru - lost mappings to CF class files

Hey there, I'm desperate to sort out whether cold fusion class files can be mapped on a virtual server setup.

I can get CFM pages to work on my pc with the class files installed, but when I run it on the website I get class not found with CF java components - the reason being that the class files are not properly mapped on the server, is this because the server is a in a virtual setup - it's not a dedicated server with a set IP address.

I'd appreciate any replies

Thanks
Andrew

Your best bet is going to talk to the server admin and see what he says. Can you use a different java class and upload it to your folder on the server and use that instead of the CF class files? Maybe even see if you can put the CF class files in the root of your folder on the server and see if that works.

The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.

I don't think I actually answered your question. Sorry about that.
Yes they can be mapped. I have never used class files when I do CF so I'm not 100% sure how they work. But I do know they can be mapped. Most likely it is going to be something like D:/CFusion/blah/blah (for Windows). Read through the site, or the admin pages (if pre-made admin pages came with your site). If that doesn't work, call up the company and see what they have to say.
