managing links

Hello,

Im setting up a directory. What i would like to do is have it so when people add a url to our site, it will specifically go whatever catagory they decided? For instance...I have a list of catagories ( attractions, auctions, employment...). When somebody clicks on one of those it will display a list of links that people have submitted. Is this possible? Is there a easy script i can use to install?
