Mail not going to Hotmail?

Alright, so I created a test email at hotmail and sent me email from my script. Nothing. It's been about an hour and the mail (tried various times) has not gone through. Not in junk, nowhere!

I sent an email from my GMail account and that went through within the minute. Why/how did my mail just disappear?

Your best off asking your hosting provider with quesions about email problems.

Is your script sending email to domain email addresses such as [email protected] or to Gmail?
If it is then it's possible hotmail have blacklisted the server you're on, they love doing it!

My first thought was blacklisted, but I sent a message at the beginning of the week and my stats show referrers from inboxes of Hotmail users...

I'd contact your hosting provider before you can rule anything out and see what they have to say, they can take a deeper look at it than anyone else can.

Though apart from blacklisting issues, hosting issues or script issues I can't off the top of my head what else it could be.
Saying that I am more of a business man than tech that's where the art of delegation comes in.
Send an email to your provider and see what they say.

Two things to look at that may cause mail to get blocked even when the server itself is not blocked:

1. The FROM in the e-mail, what do you have it set as
2. Are you setting a X-Mailer: header? If you are using the default, hotmail may be blocking e-mails coming from an "automated source"

I just find it odd that mail went through earlier this week and now it's fallen into a blackhole...

My host helped me look through the logs which shows hotmail accepted all the mails (I think, lol)... is there someone I can contact at hotmail or a process or anything?

Hotmail is unreliable - their mail servers are so over loaded. I don't think you'll be able to contact anyone there for help, at least I've never been able to.

If you were using hotmail just to test with, I wouldn't waste any time trying to figure out why it didn't get there - send it again and see if it works a second time - it got to your gmail account so that validates that your your script works.
