Looking for an [easy] way to offer Gift Certificates
Father's Day is coming up and I'm running a knife store online, and want to be prepared when someone visits and wants to just buy a gift certificate.
I'm NOT very well versed in scripts, but have done searches here and on several of the most common "cut and paste" type script sites, and cannot find anything.
I also have a shopping cart on my site, and found the variables to set to allow for redemption, but it appears to be a manual process.
I've set up a temporary page to sell gift certificates, but it only provides for a manual sale. http://2kcut.com/c2/Gift-Certificates.shtml
Don't know if you can do anything to help, but thanks so much for your time. Hope this was enough info.

Sorry it was so long. I've edited it now. Also, I've been busy today, and created a temporary page (url above).

um, off the top of my head. i'd say that each gift certificate needs a unique id. then u'd need a database to cross check the id when enter to purchase something. that would leave it hands free for u.
u basically need someone to write such a script for u. orpheus and robp would probably be good candidates if u can interest them.
