Internal Server Error means that there is a problem wih the script (probably CGI/Perl).

Well, your problem explination is very scethcy which makes helping out rather hard.
Check the following thins for your script:
1) Your host allows cgi (and allows it with the file extension you are using .pl/.cgi)
2) All your variables are correct, mainly your absolute paths.
3) All @ characters have a \ before teh @ to prevent errors.
4) The first line (perl path) is correct for your server.
5) You uploaded all the cgi files and variables files in ascii mode.
6) You chmoded the files properly
If all this is true and you sitll have errors, doyuble check that any modifiations you have made are done correctly and then check your error logs.
