i need to edit the index page or main page to insert a script that will allow people to click ok in a box to bookmark my page (via pop-up window when they visit the site) but I can't figure out which file is the index file and how to edit it....

what tool do I use to view and edit the php file and how do I determan which file is the index file...?

is there a index.html or index.phtml or anything?

you could also do try this, go to your web site, click any link, then choose your home link, that should hopefully tell you the index page name.

sorry for such a dumb question....thanks for your patients in answering it for me....

I am obviously not a developer...I am a investor and just looking to make my money back on what I have invested in....my developer/designer has burnt out on me and I need to make some changes to the main page as described above....

thanks again for the help/./..
