How Do I?
Im quite new at being a webmaster of a payed account, I use to have free webspace alot, and just wondering a few things...
Number 1 -
How can I secure my server, so people cannot access sub-directories??
Number 2 -
Is it possible to have other servers? if so, how? Is it by simply signing up for a new account with a host?

1. you should be able to protect the sub-directories through the control panel. If you want to protect ALL sub-directories, you can do it one at a time, or put all sub-directories in one main sub-directory and protect only that.
2. yes.

Just to clarify #1, when you password protect a directory, all it's sub-directories will also be password protected unless stated otherwise.
#2, if you have enough free diskspace/bandwidh available in the account you already have - depending on your webhost - you might be able to have multiple domains in a single account. This is usually a good way cut your webhosting costs.

1) depends on the webserver - Apache/IIS etc
2) you can buy accounts (but tehse would need different domains) or you can point lots of domain names at your server, it is done in the DNS (domain name server) when the domain is set up. You then need to resolve the multiple domains into different directories on your server. Often you can do this from your control panel app provided by your ISP.
