Help creating a file from within .ASP

Hi

I have an .ASP VBScript script that writes to a file. The problem is that I get error 75, Permission Denied when I try to open the file for writing. I'm running the personal version internet server from MS, on Windows XP.

I've brought up the IIS permission settings, selected the checkbox for 'write' for the directory where I'm writing the file, also the directory that contains the script. I must be missing something. Does anyone know what else I need to do? Unfortunately all my books on the subject have glossed over this little detail. I've found lots of pages on the Internet talking about how to create/write to files, but none of these talk about any other steps you need to take.

BTW: Reasonably sure that it's a problem with server security as when I direct the file path to somewhere else, like c:\, the file is created as expected.
