Embedded Flash .swf file taking long to load?
Hello,
I was made aware by people in the website critique forum that my embedded flash movie is taking forever to load. Then I went on the W3 validator and it says I dont have a starting tag which I do, also I dont understand the other errors.
The link to the validator errors are: W3 Validator Error
The site is only the homepage of emeraldparkhomes.com and the code is:

The validator may be choking out becasue you do not have tags wrapping the whole document, which it just isn't giving the error properly. Try wrapping everything after the first line with tags.
I have Flash Player 8 on my system, and going directory to the file, it won't do anything. I saved the file (right click on the above link and do SAVE LINK AS) and it was a 4K file that wouldn't even play locally.

I posted fixed and valid code on the critque forum, and suggested deleting and then re-uploading the .swf.*If* the .swf works locally on the hard drive, it may have either somehow corrupted on upload, or it may have even not uploaded fully if there was any timeout or hiccups while the transfer was happening.
Also...the .swf needs to be uploaded in bianary format...(sometimes when you need to upload in ASCII, it's possible to forget to put the FTP program back into bianary mode.)

Am locking this thread as it's really a duplicate of what's already in the critique area.
Could you carry on the discussion in there please? Thanks.
