double post with script
They did, and every time they do a http request is started.
This is a very common problem, dont worry about it.

hello:
i'm currently using a script to log form submissions on a text file. i find that many of the submissions are double posted (back to back within the same second). even though the persons that submit the form data swear they didn't hit the submit button twice. any idea how i can cut down on the number of double post?
thanks in advance

fairhousing,
As Malte said... this stuff happens all the time. Gossamer Threads has a nice JavaScript that will only let them submit once (after they submit, the background goes gray, and if they press the submit button again, an alert will appear). You can see it on their forums at http://www.gossamer-threads.com/scripts/forum/ when you try posting a reply.
Look at the source code and you will get an idea of how the script works.

Can't you just disable the submit button and make it non clickable?
