I'm look for a CGI/PERL powered database script for my MIDI/Lyric/and CD collection. I need to be one with:
1) User access restrictions( so I can admin, guests can download, and regestered people can add)
2) A form so people can add themselves as users
3) Multi-folder (each catagory is a folder ex. each band in a seperate folder)
4) when a person adds a listing he/she also uploads a file (a .mid in my case) with the listing, and the listing has a link.
I guess that does it......

Does anybody know of a script like that?

Thanks,

The best and easiest I've seen is the EZ Perl DB

http://www.ezperl.com/

Many applications are possible with perl databases, such as Search Engines, Feedback Databases, Product Catalogs and what you are trying to do.

The download is available at http://www.ezperl.com/download.html

EZ Perl scripts are distributed as shareware. They may be used and modified free of charge for personal, academic, or non-profit use, so long as the copyright notice and the header remain intact.

I'v seen the EZPERL one, but will it let my users upload a file with the list and can I can the interface a little? the one in the demo is too confusing for the general public to use just to download files form the database.

Thanks

I've never used it, but you may wish to check out DBMan @ www.gossamer-threads.com

I use Alex's Links script on a couple of my sites, and it is a delight to work with. If DBMan is half as good, you'll love it...

I may be able to use SQL soon. Does anybody know if my users can upload files in SQL?
