Best PERL resources
What resources (books, websites, etc.) do you recommend for a perl beginner? I know the basics of html and that is really where my programming knowledge ends. Just to give you an idea.
My site is already up and running. We had a developer create it for us. I would like to try to work on it myself now. I am told by my developer the script is in perl. I would like the ability to make some changes, mostly on the design side, to the site. Change some text, fonts, graphics, etc. just to get started.
I searched the internet, but there are so many resources available that I am coming to you guys so I can hopefully narrow it down a bit. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge in this area?
Thanks.

I find myself using CPAN quite a bit. Often I'll just search Google to find what library I can use for some specific task, then I look that library up on CPAN.
Maintaining others' Perl code can be a pain if you're somewhat of a newbie to Perl. I know it's too late now, but if someone else is developing code for you that you will be maintaining, I would suggest something more readable, like PHP.
Don't get me wrong, I love Perl. But Perl is one of those languages where there's 5 different ways to do one thing, so it can be a pain to work through someone else's code.
Anyway, good luck!

After doing some research, I wish my website was not in perl, but it is too late now. I was really hoping to take over our site since there is so much I want to do, but it is hard to spends lots of money on a site not making any money. KWIM? I don't mind paying money out for programming updates, but little design changes I was hoping to be able to do myself.
I am a fairly quick learner, but I definately feel intimidated with using perl. At this point, I am not sure how I am going to proceed.
Thanks for your thoughts~
