Automated Email Script?
I have a reseller package. I have free email accounts that come with it. What I want to do is set up something so people can sign up and get an email account. Right now I would have to do it myself, one at a time.
Does anyone know how I could set something up like that? Is there maybe an automated script of some sort?
Thanks in advance

What type of server are you on? Linux with PHP, MySQL? Or Windows with ASP, MSSQL? Or some other configuration?

I very much doubt that you will be able to configure mailboxes for your users via a script on your site. You would need to speak nicely with the host and see if they have some kind of API that you can use, but I very much doubt it somehow.

With that reseller package, do you get your own server to run how you want? Or are you on a shared server?
Chances are, if you're on a shared server, you won't be able to do that. If they give you a dedicated server to run how you want, it's much more likely to be a possibility.

That's not necessarily true. I've moded a post-nuke site to add usernames to a valias file.... creating an email forward for every registered user. All on a shared server (I don't remember the host, as this was back in 2002).

If there is no answer on Google, then there is no question.

That's interesting, Mark. I've never used a shared server that would allow you to do that sort of thing. Of course, that's why I said, "Chances are."
Let us know if you remember/find out what host that was. It would be interesting to find out if you can add normal email accounts dynamically as well.
