about file locking...
if i write a message board script do i need to worry about locking files? if two users try to post at the same time, will that cause errors? if so, where can i learn more about file locking.

the chances of 2 users posting at the same time are pretty slim, but i made a download counter once and it just so happens the 2 people tried to download the same file at the same time and it changed a number in to ejsd930sdk38 or something like that.
i wouldn't worry too much about it but if it doesn't happen check out www.cgi-resources.com for some tutorials
