Hi,

Does anybody know of a good/free script that takes user surveys and polls from a website?

SSI would be fine and logging of IPs and/or cookies to prevent multiple voting by one person would be great.

I checked cgi-resources.com but the only program I found had too many bugs

Any help would be appreciated.

Two of my favourites are SurveySays and Polll-it! both available at CGI-Resources.com.

I second the motion by JP. Those are good scripts, I've used them both.

Oops, thats actually what I tried.

Its a piece of sh*t. The programming is very amateur like. Even I, being only a high school student, can see that.

There are so subroutines but rather parts of the code that is only executed if a certain variable is present. A very questionable strategy but not really the problem.

There seem to be a lot unhandled exceptions. So many, I noticed 3 in about 5 minutes. Actually, I never managed to schedule any poll. In other words the script, although the admin screen came up never really worked.

It is also questionable whwther it is wise to put all functionality in one file. This way a huge script is executed upon every user request, instead of a small program with 10 lines, that is used soley to display the poll.

But anyway, some other suggestions?
