Wrong domain name showing in Google.

Hi folks,

First time post here, so I'm not sure if I've got the right board.

Basically I've got a problem where a search on Google for my domain name, is resulting in my hosting companies domain name showing:

www.themunkybutler.com search result on Google

I've read about a 302 bug in Google, but I'm not sure that its the case in this instance, as I cant see a problem with my headers that get returned.

Am I missing something obvious?

My hosting company is also baffled - there was a server crash a couple of months ago, and its since then the problem has occured. Could it be possible that Google tried crawling my site when it was down, and picked up the hosting company holding page instead?

Help?!!

Cheers,
AccyMik.

Hard to tell about your problem. A google search for themunkybutler.com and themunkeybutler.com both resolve back to your host. A search for just themunkeybutler yields the expected results. It does appear to be something specific to Google since it shows on no other search engines that I have tested it on. Your DNS records looks fine. I think your only option is to either wait and Google will probably fix it or contact Google and see if they can resolve the issue.

Thanks Mark,

I guess I'll have to wait a while to see if this corrects itself. Thanks for the info.
