Wrong charset despite META

i don't run webserver, never did. but it feels like this is the right section to ask about this problem.

on http://www.ruskodnes.sk/ru/ it suppose to show cyrillic characters, like META tag say in that HTML code.... but it doesn't, it shows Central European instead. if i "view source" in IE and save that html localy (without any changes to it) then open it from my HD it shows cyrillics, like it supposed to, but not when we open it in http://www.ruskodnes.sk/ru/ ..

why is that and how to fix it? must be some thing on the server, right?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm getting the correct behaviour when viewing the Cyrillic and the Central European links.

I don't know that it would be a server issue, this sort of thing is generally at the operating system level, or possibly the browser level. I don't use IE, so I'm not sure where to send you. I hope someone else has a clearer idea of what's happening.

It is highly doubtful that it has anything to do with the server. I would test it in various browsers with various operating systems to make sure.

well, i don't have problems viewing cyrillic and CE encoded pages ever, only on that site! thats whats the most confusing about it - it happens in all browsers (i tried IE6, Mozilla 1.4, Opera 7, NS4.7)

i don't get it - meta tag is correct, there are no floating frames (some times floating frame might have different charset meta tag and it messes everything up, but there are no floating frames here) and i don't see anything in css for that page.

feels like its something really stupid that im missing :-/

ok, ok, i've tried something that i should've done before:

when you save page in IE you have an option to save "html only" or "complete page" (with pics, .css, etc.)... so! when i save it as "complete page", HTML code is different from HTML code of the file created when you save it as "html only" !!! .. why is that?
