VSFTPD != Working
I reinstalled RH on my server with vsftpd
I'm a bit lost on configuring it
I would get a 500 chroot and now I get 530 Login Incorrect
I'm using a local user to get into it... what do I have to change to allow local users to get in??
I've searched high and low on Google for this
I'm thinking this is a non-vsftpd thing and a whole server thing, because I get the same error with wu-ftpd
Any solutions?

Is there somewhere that they can get into? In other words, do you have a home directory that the user has permission to access?

Do the logfiles give you any hints?

Nope...
I turned on allowing local users to log in, but still only anonymous can log-in

Here's what I'm getting now:
500 OOPS: cannot open chroot() user list file
I've tried searching on google using that, no fixes yet
Help?

make sure you create the /etc/vsftpd.chroot_list file then restart the service.
this may fix your prob.
