Hello,

Our company is looking into getting a server for all our clients site and our own. We currently have one, but the uptime is horrible. It is ALWAYS down. We are loooking to spend about $200-$400. Any ideas on great and reliable servers? We need 99.999% uptime. We also need at least a PIII 450, 256 MB RAM, 10GBN hard drive. Let me know if you know any good places. Tell me your experiences with them.

People seem to like ultraspeedusa.com (VDI noc host). It will be at the upper end of that price, but I think you'll like it. Others like catalog.com, rachspace.com, http://www.dn.com, dialtone.com and tera-byte.com

Just my better picks...

Hey,

I am deciding between http://www.rackspace.com and http://www.dellhost.com
Any thoughts or ideas? Do you think they are both good places to get a server? Let me know...

I heard DellHost.com isn't very good on another forum, but RackSpace is pretty good...

Heard the same thing about DellHost. Seems every PC maker is adding a hosting service arm. I'm dubious of that. They may make a good machine but I'd go to an expert for hosting.

Yeah, I know a lot of people who have servers with RackSpace. Pretty good response as well. You may also want to check out the following companies...

If you want 99.999% uptime you will have to pay a large amount of money.

99.99% is more realistic for your price range.
