An Odd update
Hey any of you guys noticed that when You upload new contents to your site for example at yahoo.com, youll still see the old site then at the yahoo.com site your contents are new...
Does anyone know how much time it takes for the public folder to update the www folder?

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that Yahoo hasn't re-indexed your page yet as a search engine? Or have you got hosting with them and you can't see the updates to your site yet?
If it's the latter try clearing out your cache. I'd imagine you know to do that already though?

Kind of confused too.
Are you saying that
sitename.com
www.sitename.com
are displaying different content?
If so, usually the www (www.sitename.com) is just an alias setup to point to the . domain (sitename.com) so it shouldn't show different content at all. I have seen some domains setup quite confusingly via scripts rather DNS to point to the domain (sitename.com). I suppose that this could cause some cache problems.

Thats why its odd mairving, this is what I ment jeeves... I havent noticed this till yesterday, I tried to redo demonhale.com, so I uploaded several new files, then after that tried it up if all links are working and if everythings looking ok in the web... Since I use MOZ regularly theres no problem... Then I cross browser checked, I first used Opera, typed in demonhale.com and the site that appeared is the old one, I emptied the cache and refreshed several times to no avail, then I tried just demonhale.com and the new site appeared, now I started to wonder, so I tried IE and the same exact thing happened like in Opera...
But its ok now, seems everything is in sync... See thats why Im asking how long it takes for both folder to update correctly I understand the two URL are one and the same... The strange thing also is that when it hasnt updated the www versus none, my script shows messages differentl on the pages even though their supposed to use the same admin resource... Well its ok now, just want to know more about this...

Ah, that'll be a server cache. Your ISP probably has a cached copy of your site to make things a bit quicker, if you do ctrl-F5 in IE that'll cause the server side cache to be reloaded, not sure about any other browser.
At least I think this is the case, someone correct me if I'm wrong here. To make it worse I'm quoting from something I read on the Internet somewhere.

If it was server cache, then I would assume that it would act the same whether you used the subdomain or the root.
