Need help - Whois look ups
Whenever I use a web page's whois lookup tool (such as on a host's site or on Network Solutions etc.) I just get a short and very generic listing. Yet other webmasters seem to be able to get very detailed info on the domain such as company name and address, owner's name and address etc.
Are there two different whois look up facilities?

What about a lookup via IP? Does it have to be a Network Solution's IP to work?
