Mandrake hangs on boot
My cousin and I have our boxes side by side (awh), and we've been configuring stuff. We both rebooted, and they both are hanging here:

Starting X Font Server:
How can we boot and look at logs to troubleshoot this?

Mark, when your system first boots up it loads lilo (right after the BIOS). You should have an option for failsafe mode. This will put you in runlevel 3, which is the non-graphical mode. Not totally sure what is causing the X-font server to hang. I did find this on Mandrakeuser.org's site. It may help you resolve the font server issue.

Failsafe worked for my cousins computer, but I got some errors. It said something about blocks being moved or sumthin.
Anyway, I booted off the install CD, and made a bootdisk. Then I booted off the floppy, and was able to get into the GUI.
What we figured out was that we had VNC server start on boot, and it was stopping the boot for a password, which we couldn't enter from the regular boot (graphical). We just took it off boot and it seems to work now.
I re-installed anyway just have a clean installation.
Thanks for the help!
