HOWTO: Running a web Service ??
Hi. I have a linux server running apache/mysql/php/etc.. and i want to make a website where people can come on and sign up for an account and get webspace. I want to make it so they have access to only a certain amount of disk space (say 100mb) and so that they get to have a certain amount of mysql database space. It is also important that they not see other people's databases. Does anyone know how, or know of a guide for setting up a server for this functionality?

Use cpanel or hsphere with an auto sign up script.

I suggest you get a reseller account until you have enough biz to have s erver of your own. I like Cpanel best, tried Sphera and just hated it There are many billing programs that integrate into cpanel, and cpanel has pretty good forums.
