Ok, how would this dedicated server work for a hosting company?

- 500MHz PIII
- 512MB Ram
- 20GB HD
- 126 IP's
- 100GB Bandwidth
- OC-48 High Speed Line

It would host no more than 100 accounts. How would the performance be?

The performance would be fine with that. In fact, with 100 accounts, you would be able to scale down a little without cutting performance... unless you plan the sites to be _very_ CPU/RAM intensive

I second that.

What OS would you use ?

If you go with a Unix and still have some accounts left I might be interested.

Most of the hosts I have worked with/used, put around 5000 accounts on such a system ...
