Hi,

We use a linux server @ our office to retrive all mails from the internet. This is done using Fetchmail.

However I need to have a mail copy downloaded both @ workplace and @ home. But everytime fetchmail does a run on my Mail Account it downloads the mail copy without actually leaving a copy to be downloaded later from home. Which means if I check my mail during the day from work i cant get any copies later @ nite @ home.

We also tired to keep the mail copies on the server. But what fetchmail failed to then do was recognise that the mail had already been downloaded and this need not be downloaded again. As a result everytime Fetchmail runs it will keep getting a copy of the mail.

Please let me know what is an easy solution to get mails @ both the places.

Thanks !

- Kapil

I don't know anything about Fetchmail, but you can set an option in Outlook (Express) to automatically leave a copy on the server.

YOu don't give a lot of information to go on, such as what kind of mailserver you are retrieving from, whether it is POP3, IMAP or something else, but ...

specifying --keep and NOT specifying --all in your fetchmail configuration is supposed to work like what you want. (It does for me). I am retrieving from a POP3 server running Post.Office 3.5.3 w/ ZPOP v. 1.0
