DNS error?

i run windows 2003 standard server IIS6.0.
when I try connecting to one of my aspx pages with ie5.0 I get a page error and an event log warning of eventID 1009 source: W3SVC.
"A process serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' terminated unexpectedly. The process id was '2900'. The process exit code was '0x800703e9'."

However if I connect using the IP address, or for that matter, any other domain name that I point to the particular file I can connect.

Additionally, the problem only seems to arise for one page on my site.

I think its a DNS issue but I'm not sure. I followed MS troubleshooting tips for this error, but it didn't help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

The problem is that there is a site in your default application pool that is stopping the process, could be rogue code.

If you're using w2k3 try splitting the domains into individual pools and this may help track down the rogue site.

I would not have said its a dns error
